The Curzon Family was moving to Pocatello on Monday so Sister Hymas decided to throw together a surprise going away party. Sister Curzon took over our primary class when I was called to the Young Women's and Jake into the Sunday School. Once the kids all learned that Sister Curzon was moving they decided that we were just on vacation the whole time and we would be returning to primary next week. Two of our primary kids told us at the party that they were going to ask the Bishop if we were going to be their teachers again. I felt so loved. Kids who actually like me..they always loved Jake because he acted just like them. Primary was always after Sacrament meeting so the kids were always so squirmy. A tradition we started in our class was to allow the kids to tell a joke or do some kind of crazy wiggle. We heard a lot of jokes about how the pickle, hot dog, chicken, and dinosaur crossed the street. Why did the chicken cross the road...to eat himself. Why did the hot dog cross the road...so he could kiss the other hot dog with ketchup in his mouth. There was a great turn out for the party and lots of good food...we always bring the easiest dish...Watermelon. Easy clean up. Plus I didn't have time to make anything. It wouldn't be a Mormon party without a green jello mold. Good luck to the Curzon family!
