My sister came to visit...WOOHOO! It was just an overall good weekend. Thursday night Jake and I attended the last BSU basketball game :(..however this time our seats were awesome! Due to my nagging we actually got there early...and found seats on the first floor, second row, mid-court. Can't get much better than that! Oh and BSU won! My sister decided to make her first road trip ever to see the Boys Basketball team play at the state tournament....well it was with six other girls in a huge mormon assault vehicle a.k.a. (suburban). They all piled into one Super 8 Hotel room. By the time I picked her up on Friday she was one starving teenager.....they had been living off of the all you can drink hot chocolate at the Denny's across the street from their Hotel. She described her Hot cocoa adventure at 3:00 in the morning like it was the most naughty thing she had ever done in her life. Ahhh those first road trips without parents..how exhilarating. Needless to say her Oreo rations were gone and she was starving. So what do older sisters do best...I fed the poor child. Enough to get her by until they went back home on Sunday. We spent the rest of Friday together shopping at the mall....we were more window shopping. We did have something exciting happen while we were in the mall. As we were walking into Forever 21 we were stopped by Mrs. Teen USA for the Treasure Valley....she kindly asked us if we would be interested in participating in beauty pageants...mind you the age limit is 19. My sister and I were both laughing like little school girls.....I sheepishly asked her if could actually guess my age.....her reply....oh you look like you are 17-18. By this time I was elated to tell her my actually age....26! The look on her face....PRICELESS. Her reply.....you have great skin. So for one day I felt like a beauty queen. Then we went and stuffed our faces at TGIFriday's. The next day we spent at the Boise Art Museum....there was an Ansel Adams display there just for the weekend which I had to see....afterwards we picked up Jake and yes...more food... for lunch we introduced my Sister to Taco Del Mar..one of our favorites. I had my fish tacos...while we all shared the super Nachos and a Mondo Burrito. My sister was so hungry....Oreo's and hot cocoa don't do much good..between bites she kept saying how much her friends were missing out on the good food she was enjoying. Then it was back home to visit Clyde....then we went out for more food...dessert. We drove to the local burger joint in Middleton and to my surprise they have really good milkshakes. The whole time we were ordering the cook was eyeing my little sister...it was hilarious...so Jake finally piped up and told the guy to just ask her out already. Well to our dismay.....while enjoying our shakes the cashier came out with a little piece of paper with the cooks phone number on it. We could not stop laughing....then not 10 minutes later the cook actually came out and introduced himself..."Gary" was his name...and he was joining the Navy. By this time my sister was completely embarrassed. As we were leaving we noticed "Gary" examining his super sweet car out in the parking lot. Total Rice Rocket....bright orange...spoiler and everything. By this time we were crying we were laughing so hard. Before the championship game I helped my sister put red streaks in her hair and glitter...she was all glammed out for the game. I made sure to feed her one last time before I returned her to her friends...she knew it was going to be her last meal until Sunday. I sadly returned her to the Super 8 Hotel and went back to my boring evening at home. Thanks Colee for coming to see me!
