Mmmmm

So we did something really random today...after work Jake and I decided we were both too tired to cook. So seeing how it is the day before Valentines Day....we would go to dinner early. Tucanos just opened here in Boise. It sounded really interesting...Brazilian food....as long as it didn't move or was classified as an insect we were OK to dine. Look out Chuck O'Rama! This place was awesome...my sister would love it...she's a huge meat eater. It was a little on the pricey side so...it may be a one time a year thing. However, you get a ton of food...I needed a large mommy purse to stuff extras in...JK..they even had alfredo? That's not Brazilian. There was a ton of really different salads...not just your regular potato or macaroni salads. Too many to choose from...then comes the meat. You have a little..well it looks like a salt & pepper shaker...the top is green and the bottom is red...you get the picture. If your shaker is turned up to green a server will come by every ten minutes with a huge skewer of meat and deliver the goods..if it's turned up to red he will go by. Needless to say ours was turned up to green the whole time...until our stomachs felt like they were going to explode. I tried some crazy lime raspberry lemonade..good stuff non-alcoholic drink but it comes in a wine glass so hopefully no one from Church sees you and starts the rumors flying that you are a raging alcoholic...I downed four glasses of that stuff. So I tried to trick Jake while he was away at the salad bar..the server came around with chicken hearts...yes chicken hearts...I told the server to slide one onto Jake's plate and I would tell him it was beef....it didn't work..Jake figured it out. Dang it! One of the meats smelt like old socks....passed on that one...however I did enjoy the Fillet Mignon, grilled pineapple, and everything wrapped in bacon. I would highly recommend Tucanos for a unique dinning experience.
